Come Home to Yourself in Ubud, Bali
Bali has long been called the Island of the Gods — a place where the veil between the everyday and the sacred feels thin. This retreat is an invitation into that mystery: seven nights to soften, listen, and reconnect — to yourself, to others, and to something larger than the noise of daily life.
We'll stay at Amori, a luxury boutique retreat center perched above the Petanu River Valley, where mornings begin in mist and mountain birdsong and evenings settle into the hush of the jungle. Amori offers more than a beautiful place to rest — it opens a genuine window into the sacred rhythms of Balinese village life, from ceremony and ritual to the quiet devotion woven into everyday moments.
Days here move at the pace of the river below: unhurried, attentive, alive. Between practice and stillness, you'll wander rice paddies and village paths, swim in an infinity pool framed by emerald hills, and browse the craft villages around Ubud — home to generations of woodcarvers, weavers, and artisans.
Each morning, we'll gather for a 2-hour yoga and meditation practice, grounded in breath and presence, designed to quiet the mind and open the heart. Practices are slow and accessible to every level, with an emphasis on inner listening rather than performance — though it helps to be comfortable bearing weight on hands and knees.
Beyond the mat, this retreat is woven through with ceremony and connection: an opening blessing to mark our arrival, a purification ritual at the sacred Pura Gungung Kawi Sebatu water temple, and time spent with the land and its people — through village walks, a local school visit, and moments of shared reflection. This is a week to explore not just Bali, but the mystery within yourself.

Recommendations
Travel — Fly into Denpasar (DPS), Bali. Amori Villas is near Ubud, about a 90-minute drive from the airport. Airport transportation is included both ways. A $35 USD visa fee applies on arrival into Indonesia.
Travel Insurance — We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance. We're unable to offer refunds for weather delays, illness, or other last-minute situations.
Cancellations — Should the retreat need to be cancelled due to travel restrictions or unforeseen circumstances, another date will be offered, or a refund handled through your personal travel insurance policy.
Excursions — Additional activities beyond those included can be arranged through Amori once we arrive.
Massages & Treatments — Additional massages and spa treatments can be scheduled prior to arrival. More information coming soon.
Cash — Most places accept credit cards, and ATMs are widely available, but we recommend bringing some US dollars as well.

Refunds are not given unless the space can be filled by another registration. An administrative fee of $250 will be deducted if the room is filled.
